A Life Dedicated to Helping Dogs

Danny was born and raised in the Ypsilanti/Belleville area, and his work with dogs began at the local Humane Society. He volunteered tirelessly, making sure every dog was walked and cared for — including dogs that were fearful, aggressive, or difficult for others to handle.

Over time, Danny became known for his patience, consistency, and willingness to work with dogs others might avoid. The wide range of behavior challenges he encountered at the shelter gave him invaluable hands-on experience and eventually led to helping families through private behavior consultations.

Danny’s deepest lessons, however, came from living and working every day with a pack of dogs of his own. His pack has included Rottweilers, German Shepherds, Pit Bulls, and other strong breeds — many of them dogs who had been unwanted, misunderstood, or difficult to place.

Living with a pack reinforced what Danny believes is essential to behavior rehabilitation: calm leadership, consistency, structure, and understanding what a dog needs in the moment. He has also seen firsthand how balanced dogs can help other dogs learn calmer, more appropriate behavior.

As founder and co-owner of K-9 Behavior Rehabilitation, Danny has dedicated his life to helping dogs and the people who love them. For him, this work has never simply been a job. It is the path he believes he was meant to follow.

Our Core Belief

Exercise. Leadership. Then Affection

Danny believes balance starts with meeting a dog’s needs in the right order — appropriate exercise, clear structure and leadership, followed by affection.
